Tania - 26 Jan 2005 13:33 GMT Hi All,
Just got home from a week in Mexico, and had LOTS of posts in the newsgroup!
Firstly, my sincere condolences to Kate, Sue & Gershal for the losses of your beloved Merlin, Sadie & Keiichi. It's always such an awful thing to go through isn't it. They are all playing together at Rainbow Bridge with all of our lost babies here. Thinking of you x
It was so cool to come home and see all my boys today! I thought about them everyday and hoped their babysitters were looking after them!! They definitely recognised my voice which was lovely :-) God, I missed them!
Any of you guys ever been to Mexico?? What a FANTASTIC place! I've never been on a holiday that totally blew me away! The hotel was out of this world, weather lush, staff, local people so friendly and accommodating! We even got brochures to book again for later this year!! 11 hour flight though, and with the time difference I am cream-crackered! Must try and stay awake now though to adjust to UK time!
Anyway, just wanted to wave hello to you all!
xx

Mariette - 27 Jan 2005 07:19 GMT Hi Tania, welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time (lol, "cream-crackered"). Haven't been to Mexico since I was a teenager myself. I bet your guys are just all over themselves to see you again. So, some pics of your trip up on Webshots soon? :)

It sounds like you had a fab holiday! I've never been to Mexico, would be too hot for me - I have this horrid allergy to the sun so have to steer clear of really warm places :o(
That's the downside to going on hols - not getting to see our pets for a while - but it gives us something to look forward to coming home to! Did you have a friend look after your ratties?
Tracey
Tania - 27 Jan 2005 21:47 GMT Put a few pics on my Webshots for you all to see!!
I was obessed with my ratty care while we were away ( Some of you may remember I posted here last year when I was going away for a week too!) Usually Al's mum has the boys, as we normally go away for 2 weeks but as we were only going for a week people suggested the boys would be happier at home with familiar sounds/smells etc .........
Anyway, my mum did morning shift and my friend Gail from work (who used to keep rats!) did the early evening shift!! Mum doesn't cuddle the boys, but she swept poo, did food & water, gave yoggie drop etc ........ Then Gail would come around 5pm and let the boys out for a run so they probably didn't notice that much of a change! I still texted mum and Gail nearly every day to check on them!! Hehehe
Best go le them out for a run now! Enjoy the pics x

Oooh, feeding sharks? Actually, I'll forego the vicarious on that one, thank you very much. lol
I lead such a sheltered life. Never heard of towel animals before. Apparently it's quite a thing with hotels/resorts now; there's tons on Google about them. http://homepage.mac.com/wysz/towels.html Cute.
Thanks, Tarn. Scritches to the fuzzies. :)

Tarn, those pics are wonderful!!! We always see those pics of summer getaways, but nothing compares to actual pics taken during the holiday. It's just amazing. I loved the sharks!! And the Toucan and the Macaws, just wonderful. Those towel animals are a really neat touch. Did you swim in that huge hotel pool? The water is crystal clear. You both look so happy there together!! Thanks so much for putting those up. I loved every minute of it. :)

Tania - 29 Jan 2005 16:27 GMT Thanks girls - Glad you liked them!
We swam with dolphins too, but unfortunately only have really large pics of them, I'll get around to scanning them soon and then I'll post them!
Yeah, we did swim in that pool, but it was absolutely freezing! As we were on the beach front it was warmer to go for a dip in the sea!! :-) My best mate has booked to go in May already! LOL

I sure could use a little Mexico from this blasted -31 Celsius. It's just freezing in my part of Canada. :( Ya, so like Mariette asked, pics up on Webshots yet? ;)
