Very nice!  Lovely tribe you have there, elegy.

We had a hammock nearly identical to the one that gus and
amelia are snuggling in, until it finally got chewed beyond hope
(which your fuzzies' looks a month or two away from being also <g>).
Had to reinforce it with a piece of denim on the bottom in its final
days.

By the way, how are quill and sonnet doing now?

ahahahaha. my two worst chewers have gone to the bridge now. most of
that is their handywork. they got a bunch of new hammocks for
christmas but i managed to lose them somewhere in my house.

>By the way, how are quill and sonnet doing now?

quill is about the same. i had a bad experience with the vet i had
hoped would be able to pull her bad tooth, and now i'm kind of stuck
in not knowing what the heck to do. she needs her top teeth trimmed as
well. but she's still eating.

i had had them living in the big cage with my three other girls and
two neutered manrats but sonnet was beating the snot out of everybody
so i moved them back out. bah. she's such a booger.

Oh, so sorry to hear that. If this is a matter of your preferred vet
still not being available yet, hope he/she is soon or that you can
find another one who can handle the problem.

Hehe.  That little thing was bullying the others?  Have to give her a
little credit there, anyway, for her chutzpah.  :)

by any chance?  ;)

They turned out really good!! The first one is gorgeous with his smudged
nose poking straight at us.
The two snuggling simply melts your heart.
How old is Gus now? I have a rex getting up there in age. He has lost some
fur but not much yet.
Is Aaron a fawn? He's beautiful and of course, so is tiny Quill, who looks
almost teddy rex?

he is almost 28 months now. he's a good guy.

aaron's beige, actually. he's a big boy but not really as big as quill
makes him look. i think she's only 250 grams. she's standard fur as
far as i know. i've never had girls this tiny before!

they look great. I never had any luck with my ratties and a hammock..
they would simply refuse to use it. But looking at your pics I think I
might try again with the two new babies!

mine are all total hammock slugs. i love when all 5 rats in the big
cage pile into one small hammock together. it is so cute.

Some rats take a while to get used to hammocks but once they've tried them
out and got used to them you'll have to prize their little butts out of
there!  My gang absolutely adore hammocks and are always laid chilling out
in them.  I'd definitely pop a hammock in for the new babies, bet they'll
love it.

What gorgeous little ratties you have!  I love the photo of Mario.  Bless
his cottons, Gus looks like a real OAP!  Scritches to them all!
