"Rattie Bags"

Ok, so who here gets "Doggie Bags" in restaurants to bring home to their
rats?  I do!  Yesterday we went to a very exclusive local "Grand Resort
Hotel" for lunch - we treat ourselves once every 3 or 4 months at this place
and they have a world-class chef and fine cuisine.  I didn't much like the
marinade for the chicken, or the seasoned flavor of the vegetables but I
definitely asked for a box to go.  The rats have had the veggies the past
couple of nights for dinner and they LOVE them.  They practically ripped my
hand off to get their little tiny bites of chicken.  I thought the resort
should advertise "... and rats just love our food" but I'm not sure how well
that would go over with the general public, LOL.

LOL... no I don't think the restaurant would appreciate that ad.
But speaking of rattie bags, every time we are at our Swiss Chalet, we
always get them to bag the rib bones for our sweeties at home. The
waiter always says: you have a dog... I just smile and leave it at that. lol

Joanne, that reminds me - the other day at our local thrift shop I
COMPLETELY scored on about 10 used full size bath/beach towels.  They cost
me a total of $2 and I said "oh I have these.... pets... at home that will
really love these."  I have learned my lesson!

Oh My God.....

I thought I was the only one who did this kind of thing.  My two older
daughters and I always take  handbags when we go out to dinner,  if
there are any leftovers they are wrapped in serviettes and smuggled
home..:))  Husband of course wishes he could sit at another table.  We
are, however very discreet about it all.  Slight of hand and all that..LOL

wow...it's hilarious to find out that other people do the exact same
thing as us!!!!!
i told the waiter once that we were going to take the remains of dinner
home to our rats, and i thought he would just die there on the spot! lol
our rats are particularly fond of Mexican food! (rice, beans, veggies,
etc.) but they will take whatever we give them! we always tell them
we'll bring them back a treat from dinner and i swear if we forget, they
are disappointed!
Sunday nights are pizza nights at our house. we usually get delivery
from the same place, and nicky (pizza lover) will get so excited when
the delivery guy comes to the door that he'll be crawling up the side of
the cage. this is something he does ONLY on that occasion! lol. I don't
know what I'd do without my rats for comic relief!

Oh my gosh!  This is hilarious!  I get ratty bags too -but I don't stop
there.  I always come home from family dinners with little baggies of food
for the "boys".   Just a couple weeks ago, a friend had me over for dinner,
and before I left she asked me if I wanted to take some watermelon home to
my husband because she was going to pitch it otherwise.  I told her "no" but
I would take it to the "boys" and to the squirrels I feed outside!  She and
the other ladies there just rolled their eyes -they are not surprised at
anything I say or do anymore when it comes to rodents!!!
