I have had plenty of rats with URI. But I haven't heard of RSV in my
rats but that's not to mean they never had it. My vet has never put a
name on the virus causing the URI.
How did you come about this diagnosis?

Hi Joanne,

sorry its taken so long to get back to you. The vet I saw suggested it. I
have two females that suddenly came down with sneezing fits. It just came
out of the blue. They were given antibiotics, and it cleared the sneezing
up. I just wondered if anybody knew anything about it. I am uncertain about
his diagnosis, because the antibiotics worked on the sneezing so quickly,
and I thought viruses couldn't be treated with antibiotics.

What kind of antibiotics were they given?
Without any cultures done, it must have been a guess.
Maybe he'll look into it further, that would be so good if a vet did try
to pursue it.
Good to hear your little ones are ok again!!
