My sweet little bear went to the bridge and joined his brothers on Monday
the 19th. He took a turn for the worse last Friday when he barely would
take food at all. All I could get him to eat was his favorite cooked sweet
corn and some baby food. He had just the weekend before went through a
spell like this what looked like was his death watch. But he recovered and
was feeding himself the next morning. My husband said to give it the
weekend to see if he came around. Monday when I got home from work he was
so weak he could barely pull himself around. So my hubby took him to the
vet. Chris (my hub) wrapped him in his fleecy blanket and held him and he
bruxed and then because he was so weak it didn't take long for him to go
under the anesthesia. I never knew it would be such an added blessing to
care for an elderly boy. Being owned by rats has been one of the most
rewarding experiences in my life, I never knew it could be even better, then
sweet Charlie decides to live longer than I expected and became such a sweet
little baby boy. I'm so sad, but yet, I've got two little boys who are new
and one fat squishy fuzzbut who wants to eat all the time and gives me
kisses, and they make me smile every time I look at them.

I'm so sorry Lisa, it's good that you found joy and comfort in loving
him and caring for him in his old age.
He's with lots of buddies now...

Oh Darling, I am sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was the most
wonderful little man. Enjoy those memories and pass the joy you felt with
him onto your new little babes.
Find hope,
Lynn
