Hi all,
After losing two of my fuzzy butts in one day we now have had to deal
with one of our cats dying... He came inside dragging his back legs. The
Kids rang me at work and told me so I told Hubby to get him to the Vets
immediately. The Vet diagnosed Anti- Freeze poisoning. Michael said he
didn't know where he would have gotten that from. The Vet took him
and started treatment but he passed away in the night. The Vet rang me
in the morning and told me, he also asked me what the Cats name was
!!!!! He said he died of acute Renal Failure. I can only imagine the
pain he was in ... kidney failure is a painful disease that is not
curable..:(( He was only 4 which makes it all the more heart breaking.
Zed is now in the Summer land and hopefully making friends with all
the Rat bags who have gone before. I have a wonderful Animal family
waiting for me...:) We were then hammered with a bill for $288.05
virtually for nothing ... and to add insult to injury the Vet sent us a
card of sympathy. ACK. I don't know how Vets lie straight in their
beds at night. So I am not feeling very gracious towards the Vet and I
am very disheartened with animal ownership in general today...:(( Never
mind tomorrow is another day.
Scritches to all the fuzzy butts and their owners..:)
Kind regards Kate
There are some pics of Zed in my album and a lovely one of him and Brin

OMG!!! This is not a good day for cats. I'm so sorry Kate, how horrible
to have this happen to you and your family.
What is the bill for? The treatment for Zed?
I'm sure hoping you have better days ahead Kate... cats aren't suppose
to die so young. :(

Oh no Kate, I'm sorry. It's always that bit harder to lose an animal so
young. You can rest assured though that those years with you were happy
ones - Zed certainly looks contented on those photos. Vets can be
infuriating can't they, and they seem to charge what they like, flippin
rip-off merchants...
Here's hoping you are brought better luck from now on, with no more losses
for a long time. Take care.

I'm sorry, Kate. I certainly know how you feel. My kitty is suffering with
renal failure right now as well. He's in the hospital as we speak. Truth
be told I probably should have put him to sleep on Tuesday, but then the
thought of not knowing if we could have kept him alive comfortably for
another year (maybe) would've ate away at me. So he's in for fluids and to
see if his blood work changes. I'm supposed to get the results today. So
we might just be making the trip over to say goodbye. I hate this.
Anyways, you have my sincerest condolences on the loss of your Zed.
