Hi all.  Just thought I'd let you know how Fudge is doing after his
respiratory problems and nasty abscess.  After being on anti-biotics for
over two week now, his breathing is so much better - I can't hear any
wheeziness at all, there's no sneezing and no porphyrin.  The massive
abscess I found last Monday has healed so well and quickly, there's just a
tiny scabby line now where the wound was (it's completely closed up), with
no swelling whatsoever - all looks great.  I still have quite a bit of
baytril left so shall keep giving him that until it runs out.

My other rat, Max, is still going strong.  He's around 28 months old and
still runs round, eats and looks like a youngster!  As I type he's running
up and down the ladder to the next level grabbing food to stash in the
sleeping box below!  I don't think his eyesight is what it used to be, but
hey, he's an old man and is doing terrific!
