lost another one last night. i'm down to four. unbelievable.

poor clarice had been looking old and worn down and skinny for a time,
but i did not expect her to pass so quickly. i was sitting on the
couch and she squeaked in her cage across the room, fell out of the
hammock, and then died in my hands. i'm glad i was there but at the
same time not :(

play hard at the bridge my little monkey. say hi to your sister for
me.

Aww, what a gorgeous little girl she was. So sorry to hear your news, and
for it to be so sudden like that :-( She sure is playing hard at the Bridge

I'm so sorry Elegy. I understand completely that feeling of being glad
you were there, but yet not. I'm sure that Clarice was glad you were
there though. My thoughts are with you.

Oh elegy, how sad. Clarice was a beautiful ratty. When we lose them fast
like that it can be sooo traumatic.
