Hi All

[OT-ish bit]
I've finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the Century of the
Fruit Bat!

I'm now the proud owner of "GertII", a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop running
WindowsXP.  My beloved "Gerty" (pc) is still going strong but she will
be 10 in February and unfortunately can't keep up with the demands I put
on her any more.

As I now have a poota with USB ports I decided to take the plunge and
get a digital camera.  While I was thinking about what I wanted I saw a
"Pick of the Day" on Ideal World.  It was a Vivitar DVR-310 Digital
Video Camera.  Not only does it take video it is a still camera, voice
recorder and MP3 Player.

On topic bit.
Admittedly I don't know how to fully work my camera yet but I have taken
some photos. They can be found at

I've not done any editing, they're just as they came out of the camera.

Please take a look and let me know what you think - are they are too big
etc.

With a little editing, those pics will be great!! Just to change the
color and also, check your auto focus, it will tell you when to click.
Now, I need a favor, I want lots of pics of that cage!!! How is it for
cleaning, what are the dimensions? It looks like a big lego house!!
BTW, I love your rattie and cavy names, past and present. You'll have to
tell us the story behind NinetySevenPercent.

You have some beautiful critters there, Jackie!  Do you allow the cavies and
rats to mix? -  I thought I spotted one pic with a cavy and rat next to each
other.
