Hi,
Thought I'd share a few pics of Artaius and Taranis (Art and Tar for short)
I brought them home from a local pet store two weeks ago and they are
getting tamer by the day.
Tar I have to say is completely nuts and Art is the slightly shier of the
two. More pics to come when they will stay still long enough :-)

Mandie.

Your rats are gorgeous - I love the ones where Art is peeping at the camera!
Your dog is lovely too, I adore German Shepherds.  The last photo
('Relaxing') reminded me of the two guys in my life.... lol

Thanks Tania,
They are not in their new cage just yet as they would escape through the
bars, I think about a month and they will be big enough :-) Love the pics of
yours, mine won't keep still enough yet :-)

That's my lazy boys for you! Even when I get in from work and open the cage
for free run evenings they just look at me as if to say "Yeah right - Like I
am moving!" I have to literally lift them out! They will run for 5 mins and
then go back! Never known rats like it!

LOL, Art and Tar are the complete opposite, mad as hatters :-)
Everything is a big adventure to them at the moment though.

Aww - It's cute when they do that though, and get up to all sorts of
mischief!
I do miss little babies - My 3 are all 18 months old now - Old men in ratty
terms! I keep telling myself I won't get more when these boys have gone to
see their other brothers at Rainbow Bridge but I can't resist rats! Saying
that, I haven't brought any for over 16 months now and that is a miracle!!
:-)

You don't have enough hands when they are young, trying to keep them both
out of harm and mischief at the same time , I feel guilty about wishing they
would grow into their new cage, but they will have tons more room and loads
of toys :-)

I have the same problem here ... we can leave the doors open and they
will just ignore it.  They have to be physically removed from their
house.  I guess that means they like where they live. :)

Two of our six can still get between their cage bars, though I've only
ever seen them 'escape' in, not out.

Love the yoghurt story - I always get that sinking feeling when the rats
are out on the bed & Cheryl decides to eat something gloopy :)
