Hi and Happy New Year to one and all, ( Human and Ratty).

I haven't been on the computer much at all lately as we have school
holidays here. The kids have been home since the middle of December and
don't go back until the second week of February.

I send my condolenscenses to those who have parted with their fuzzy
butts.  I was particualarly saddended to read of Kates passing.  It
certainly sounded horrid.  All the best Joanne for her sister though....

At the moment we are enjoying a break from the endless trips to the Vet.
 I imagine it won't last, Rats being as they are.

I was interested to read of the 4 rats who fight/play quite fiercely.  I
have that in my Rat house too.  If I separate them then they are unhappy
and mope.  They will fight and draw blood and 10 mins later be happily
snuggled up together.  I don't understand this behaviour and I did get
one neutered and I don't think his life improved any for it.  He ended
up not smelling like a fella therefore everyone thought he must be a
girl and they wouldn't leave him alone.  I believe they eventually wore
him out..:(

With Summer here the boys have been enjoying some summer fruits.  They
went stupid when I gave them a nectarine..LOL.  The Race was on who
could steal it and get it to the toilet first..(ack)  I don't know why
the best foods have to be eaten in the loo...LOL.  They also tried steak
for the first time too.  I told Hannah to put some juice on her fingers
and let them lick it off... they nearly removed her finger
instead...LOL.  Michael ended up donating a piece of steak cut into 9
tiny pieces and they each got a share.  That is probably the only food
so far that they all LOVE.  Well thats all from here, I just wanted to
catch up with everyone and wish you all the best for this year and for
the the wee varmints who rule your household..:)
