Miss Niobe is going in for a lump removal and spay next Wednesday.

This is the first time I've had a rat operated on at all, because it's
the first time I've had a vet who's really experienced with rat
surgery. (Ariadne got stiches under anesthesia, and assorted rats have
been sedated for x-rays, but that's not quite the same thing.)

Hand-holding and reassurance would be welcomed.

Thinking of you all! x

Kind thoughts are winging their way from this part of the world too.  It
is such a darn long day when you are waiting to pick them up again...:)
But it is also exciting when you are on the way there to pick them up
again...:)

Kind regards Kate

Big hugs and lots of sweaty hand holding. She'll be fine. Be strong!

I've just had my first time when it comes to rat surgery earlier this week
(my boy Chester had a benign tumor removed), so I think I know what you're
going through. Don't assume the worst, I was told lumps are successfully
removed most of the time. I hope all goes well with Miss Niobe, I'll keep my
fingers crossed.

Lots of well wishes coming from here. I've had loads of rats go through
surgery and only one didn't turn out so well.
Miss Niobe with such a pretty name will soon be well again!!

The best of luck being sent to you and Miss Niobe, I'm sure she'll be just
fine.  Please let us know how it all goes.
