What's the difference between a litter tray and a bed?

Tar has decided they are both for sleeping in :-)

I found litter trays on ebay last night with an added grill and ordered
two............reason being....
Tar who hates water has decided the litter trays make great beds despite
having plastic houses, sleep tunnels and various other in their cage.
When the new trays arrive I will swap them over and then do the
unthinkable...............Bath Art and Tar.

LOL, I remember the last attempt at bathing, they were afraid of the bath
and totally refused, they were not much better at the sink, should have
tried water in the litter tray :-)

I've had ratties that were so afraid of water they wouldn't even go diving
for peas when I put a few in a shallow dish :o)

I tried putting peas in a shallow dish of water, after a while they looked

Yes they do tend to do that at times, lol!  I found my ratties used to sleep
in the litter trays when the weather was hot, probably cos it felt cooler in
there than their hammocks or houses.

I've been adding a bowl of water to the cage during the day.  The ladies
will perch on the edge and bathe themselves.  I'll have to try to get a
picture.

Great idea, I will give that a try, my two are male so they may not go for
it.
Pics would be great :-)
