After promising my husband no more rats... guess what I went and did? I
found out through a rat forum that rats were released in a high school
as an end of school year prank. A student brought home two of the rats
and his mom freaked. He asked for help. Of course I knew I was full up
and just couldn't help him out but I thought... what the heck. What's
two more right? lol
A great friend of mine fostered the rats for me until I could get myself
down south. 5 hours there and 5 hours back, I'm home and I'm convinced I
have the most beautiful rescues, my treasures!
There's a male and female...yep, you guessed it, she may be pregnant.
But she's so young so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she isn't. But
if she is, well... what's 12 more right? lol
The boy is a powder blue dumbo and the female is a lilac/mink dumbo.
They are so sweet!!
I've put up their pics in my webshots so if you want to see these little
gems, go here: http://community.webshots.com/album/551870971WtstoC
I still don't have names yet... I'm waiting to see what will fit.
If anyone has any idea on the female's color, I'd love to hear what you
think.

Completely adorable, Joanne.
I don't really like the dumbos, but that pair is just too cute!

I myself, don't really have a preference... but in these two... it's the
eyes that get me!

Oh my, they're so very, very cute! Those sweet looks are certainly worth the
10 hour trip, that's for sure. :-D

They are adorable! When I see the pics of the female one, the name
Ernestine comes to mind. They both look so hopeful. Surely, your
husband can see how refusal was simply not an option. :}

I'm being told the female is Lilac and the boy is dove?
To me, he looks powder blue, and she's got a very pretty purple/pink
tint to her color.

That's a very pretty name. I ended up going with Isabelle and Cado.
Cadeau in French is gift but I changed the spelling.
Hubby has actually been going to the cage to take Isabelle out to ride
on his shoulder. I was shocked! but quite pleased. :)
