I can't go into the full details but a personal situation with my daughter
is forcing me to rehome all my precious boys. I am so sad and angry but
there is little I can do. Is anyone in the South Wales or UK at all that
would like the boys on. I can't say much as i'm devestated and crying while

Goodness me! Whatever happened?
Are you really sure you have to rehome them! Could you find someone to
foster then for a bit.
I really could not take any more on permenantly at this time, I could speak
to few of the rat groups in Midlands.  Would that help!

Hi Jackie

Yeah, I've been racking my brains all day thinking of something, I even
contemplated my neighbours having them but they would just be mistreated
there, I would say more of the situation but I don't want hate mail in my
inbox but it's something to do with my precious daughter who hasnt lived
with me for 9 months due to personal circumstances and coming home in 2
weeks. I would appritiate it if you could speak to someone in the Midlands,
I'm in wales but could possibly travel if it was the right place if you know
what I mean. I'm so upset that my boys have got to go and have been crying
most of the day and will probably cry tommorow and the next day to because I
honestly love my boys. I am so worried for Mr Billy Bear in particular
because of his problems. Perhaps I could hide him somewhere LOL.

Hi April.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. So wish I could help, I'd offer to
adopt them if I lived in the country.

However, I was thinking that if you can't find a *good* home for your
rats, there's this animal rescue group (called PACT) that I heard about
who may be able to help (details below).

I heard about PACT (People for Animal Care Trust Sanctuary) through a
cat newsgroup I subscribe to. I've read a couple of their news letters
and was impressed with them. They're a no-kill shelter (unless said
animal is legitimately sick) and they have strict adoption policies and
don't adopt animals out willy-nilly. They rescue all sorts of animal,
including rats.

The organisation would have plenty of experience socialising scared and
fearsome animals like Mr Billy Bear. I'm sure they would give you
update reports on the progress of the animals. So have a chat with
them.

I really hope it works out for your rats.

Hugs to you and the ratties.
Dewi.

I'm sorry to hear this. If I could I'd snap them up. Have you tried
posting on
http://www.fancy-rats.co.uk/community/ They are really helpful and may
know somewhere nearer if PACT doesn't work out. Be thinking of you

Hi Dewi

Thanks for that. I have come up with an idea for my rats so please everyone
pray that it works and I can keep my boys. It's my last attempt and I'm
going to be speaking to my solicitor tommorow about it, gee thats funny my
rats now kind of have a personal solicitor but I speak for them. hehe I
wonder if that would make the newspaper headlines.

It probably would make the headlines "woman employs solicitor to
represent rats".

On a more serious note, prayers definately being sent.

Dewi.

Thanks Dewi

I had a meeting with someone today about my daughter and also the rat
subject and he has told me to speak to the people who have the problem and
put my idea to them so I am hoping it will work or i'm going to be damn
right heartbroken.
