Hello.  I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of any problems that might cause one of a rat's eyes to look larger than the other.  I noticed my sweet Abby looked a bit different but couldn't figure it out.  I've now noticed that one eye is larger than the other.  It just seems that it is set out further than the other... you know, like "bugging" out.  It's nothing grotesque, just concerning me.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi Erika,
Our Dooley had the exact same problem and he was diagnosed as having a squint. One eye seemed to be set right back in his eye socket and looked much smaller than the other one.You will have to take your Abby to the vet for drops as it can be quite painful for them.Dooleys problem soon cleared up after a few weeks.

Abby's eye has protruded, not recessed so could this be the same problem?

I was just thinking that because one of her eyes had recessed it looked to you that the other one was protruding. Its hard to give advice on this sort of thing without actually seeing it.Sorry if i have got it completely wrong.
