Apparently The Ark petshop is closing/relocating and apparently there
are 4 adult rats left.  My friend doesn't know if they are male or
females or what will happen to them but I thought I'd post it here if
any of you had room for them.

Sorry I don't have more info or anything, I just found out today when
I spoke to her briefly.

I picked up 6 rats, 2 females and 4 males on Friday and they told me they
didn't have anymore in the back. Hope they were honest with me.

If you do go in there, can you let me know if they have some more rats?
We were told that they were no longer bringing in more rats, that the
stock was just being sold off and nothing more coming in.

Oh, that is good news!  Another petstore that sells animals bites the
dust (hopefully they are not relocating).  Horray!
Great job, Joanne and Jeannine!

That's so good to hear!!!  I'll have to let my friend know - she was
really concerned about those 4 ratties but unfortunately she lives in
a teeny apartment and can't in anymore rats.

Update:  I was at The Ark today getting tank stuff and the male rat is
gone, as are the three females.  Apparently they sold throughout the
day.

I'm actually sad to see that store go for a lot of reasons, primarily
because there isn't a lot of selection as far as products, or fish
etc. at the other stores in town.  My husband is an aquarium hobbyist
and they had a wonderful selection of tropical fish that he just won't
see around anymore.  The staff at The Ark was always good to us, too
and so I do hope the rest of the staff have plans for after the store
closes.  It can be hard finding work in this town.

Oh, thought I'd also mention, there are still several hamsters there
for sale.  Different colours and many of them.  So do pass this along
to anyone looking for a hamster.  I have also been stocking up on pet
supplies while their prices are dropping...but the stock is getting
thin, so check it out.
