My beautiful girl Bijou is 36 months old today. She was born at Zen rattery in Toronto. I adopted her when she was 3 months old. Both her parents lived a good old age as well. She has been such a happy go lucky girl. Never was bothered by change or by new cage mates. She just went with the flow. She has been "used" several times when trying to tame a wild buck to determine if we could rehabilitate them. I knew she would never stress over it and would calm the anxious mind of a stressed rat. Although she's never been one to cuddle or give kisses, she always came to me for a pat or two. Back in December when I rescued some old rats, Bijou went to live with Mister, a once lone rat all his life, he took to her like the love of his life. Mister is about 33 months old now and forever looking out for Bijou. She has a hard time walking now, her back legs aren't what they used to be but she still manages to get around and even climb her litter box as she is completely litter trained. In fact, she showed Mister how to be litter trained as well.
