Life has passed for our DEAR Stratocaster

Our last female died about a half hour ago. She was a cantankerous old girl.
She made it to 28 months and 6 days. Like her sister Bo, who died last week,
she was hairless and fighting abscesses. She had also gone blind, but that
was no big deal to her, she was a true strong lady. She had never taken a
shine to me, that is until her ailments. Then she really seemed to
appreciate my efforts to keep her clean and comfortable. She was so my
daughter's rat and died while Andrea held her. I am glad they shared that
last time together. Her brother, Junior, truly seemed upset by the loss. He
twitched and poked around and cleaned her. We are now just 3 boys. Junior is
the only surviving member of our original family.

Thank you all for listening.

My kindest thoughts are sent your way.  It never gets easy but the
heartbreak is worth it for all the memories you have and the knowledge that
one day Stratocaster will be there for you just as you were for her.

Kind regards Kate

I'm so sorry Lynn and Andrea.
She's had a great life with you.
Until you all meet again...

I'm so sorry to hear about Stratocaster. I hope Junior doesn't miss
his sister too much. It must be even more sad with your rat numbers
getting smaller and Junior being the last of his family.

Hugs,

Dewi

Hugs for all you wonderful people. You really are the best.

Junior is fairing well, but tonight Andrea broke his bed accidentally. Being
that he has rear-end paralysis, I am a bit aggravated. It was perfect for
his inability to hoist up. We will work it out. He is most likely smarter
than I am, giggle, and will adapt to the new situation I have set up for
him.

It sure is lonely with only 3 fur-babes. We will have to adopt more as soon
as we can.

Hugs again for being here for us.

Hi Lynn,
Sorry to hear of your little soldiers passing. Never gets any easier
but we are
all here for you.
Apologies to any others that have lost their little ones. I have not
been able to access the group the oraml way so had to come through
Google.
