My dearest Junior passed on in the night. He went in his sleep. He had the
rear end paralysis. But that led to him getting a bit sore in the "britches"
and it appeared that he had acquired an infection in the penile area. That
appeared just 2 days ago. Then yesterday his lungs sounded a bit rough and
he lost vision in one eye. It was all happening so fast. We spent most of
the day keeping him loved. I gave him his favorite lettuce before bed as I
knew he would probably go in the night and I wanted him to have at least one
of his faves.

He was 2 years, 4 months and 19 days old. He was the bravest little man. He
was the last of his line. I now have Winston and Yuki. They seem lost today.
The cage is so quiet and subdued. Sure is strange to not have all the hustle
and bustle of my once 13 rats. Perhaps again someday.

Thank you for listening,

Oh Lynn, I'm so sorry.  You've lost so many in such a short space of time.
Try and take comfort from the fact that little Junior had a fabulous life
with you and he slipped away peacefully in his sleep in the surroundings he
knew and loved.  Give Winston and Yuki a big snuggle from me, and I'm
sending a big cyber hug for you.  Take care.

Oh Lynn... not again, it's so unfair to have so much heartache.
I'm so sorry...
