Despite it being 500 degrees in Memphis, TN, I now have a dark gray
boy rat named Spin inside my sweatshirt and outside my teeshirt.  So
far so good!!!  But Jo-Jo is all kinds of mad not to be the rat
outside the cage tonight.  I'll give him a graham cracker and we'll
hang in the AM.  Thanks for all the feedback, folks--we'd still be
half-strangers if it weren't for the push I got from y'all!  (Of
courys5e, I wouldn't smell like rat tee-tee, either, and the typo in
"course" is compliments of Spin, and now the keyboard also smells like
rat tee-tee.)  Good evening!  --Tracy (and Spin)

My little butties like to run on my keyboard too!  I sometimes let them run
and type messages to my sister or friends when we are chatting online.  I'm
glad that you guys are bonding.

I tried this today with Scamp, but he wouldnt have it.  Just kept running out
my neck-hole, scraching my face and neck up in the process.  How did you do
it so he wouldnt run out?

The neck of the sweatshirt I wore fit pretty close, but Spin did stick
his head out a few times.  I also had to keep the bottom hem of the
shirt pulled tight so he wouldn't scamper out that way.  It was
definitely not a passive activity--and it probably would have looked
pretty comical to anyone watching!  I wonder if a turtleneck would
help?

Funny enough, Jack has found that he likes it best inside my tanktop!
The kind with the built in bra-shelf-thing. Everytime I hold him now,
when he is ready to cuddle, he heads right between- well, you get it-
he stretches out flat right underneath my *mammary parts* on that
elasticy shelf & falls ASLEEP!! I wish he wouldn't have picked such an
unphotographable place, because it is absolutely precious.

Really, if Scamp doesn't want to stay- he won't. He'll find a way out.
Perhaps wait until he is sleepy. I tuck my shirts in to prevent any
falls, but most of my rattie babies have crawled into my arm holes or
neck holes on their own- maybe try wearing a big t-shirt.

I was wearing one of my most tight sweatshirts.  Maybe I'll try a bigger one.
I just sat on the couch so he couldnt fall out or anything.  Scoot loves to
crawl into my shirt when I am laying down... and when I sit up he likes the
back of my neck, but I think its because he is cold.  I keep my apartment
exactly 74 degrees, but they always seem to be cold.  Any idea the right temp
for them?

Aww... but that's where he's closest to your smell. ;)
