Hi all,

Today we went out to get Mater a companion now that he is on his own.
Would you believe there is not a Rat to be had in this town.  I have
never heard of it.  Apparently there hasn't been any available for a few
months and there is now a waiting list???? Can't tell if thats a good
thing or bad.  I will just have to keep an eye out for one :)

Regards Kate and Mater

I know what you mean... on one hand it's good news, but then on the
other hand, you can't adopt any.
Keep looking!

Silly Mater thinks Sarah Bunny might be a good playmate. However Sarah
pinned her big ears down flat and pancaked herself to disappear ..LOL
Don't think Sarah wants a Rat Buddy at all :(

This is the reason I found Kim's Ark Rat Rescue last year. A while
after my OS's Dandy died, I began looking for two babies to brighten
up our household. I literally could not find any babies for over a
year. I had my name in at local pet stores even. Finally, I went
online in pursuit. Even Kim's didn't have any babies within apprx. 7
hrs. of me. Luckily I stumbled across Jack & Rocky. And now Ben, but
he's a different story.

We didn't exactly have "no" rats though. There were older rats who
brought in as feeders, but I was very picky about what age/tempermant
rattie I was going to hand to my 5 and 11 yr. old.

Good Luck with your mission!!
