Do your rats re-arrange their cage on a daily basis? I notice every time i
wake up they have moved things around, turned their huts upside down. It's
like they are experts of Feng Shui.
Also, do any of your rats insist on going into your shirt? Whenever i get
Scoot out, I cant get him out of my shirt. Its imposible. He just goes
right back.
So.. do your rats have any odd things they do?

With all the Rats I have had I can safely say their idea of housing
arrangements have never been the same as ours. Newsprint on the floors
will be confetti by morning.. Hammocks will be in ribbons, food evenly
distributed throughout their house. :)) My boys have always prided
themselves on looking like they live in the middle of a Tornado :)) not
to mention the gross stockpile of half eaten foods ACK !! LOL

I can't say that the boys do much ratovation in thier house, possibly
due to the levels in it. I have one shelf specifially left alone for
them to do whatever on though. I just toss whatever I think might
interest them in there and leave them to it. Today I plan to clean it
out and start again. I hope they will forgive me.
On the other hand, they LOVE to ratovate the top of thier house. I
keep their washed bedding and hats up there and they are foreever
climbing up and playing in it. As soon as it gets into the house
though...forgot it. Maybe it gets boring when it goes in eh?
Christmas...well, she is a shredder. Doesn't move boxes/houses/nests
around, but is quite happy to chew up cloth or paper to make nests in
one or other of her boxes. Sometimes to the extent that she moves her
nest around every night. Boredom?

I cant put anything on my guy's cage, they will chew it up completely.
Blankets have all kinds of holes, washcloths are crazy torn up. They dont do
anything with it though, I think its just the prize of seeing how messed up
it can get.

My rats have shoeboxes for huts and they move them almost on a daily
basis. And although I cut one door into the box, they insist on having 2
or 3.
And once upon a time, Pinkie insisted on taking down the hammock and
using it for nesting material.

Oh ya, my rats love to rearrange their cage. It's all part of keeping
them motivated and stimulated. A busy mind is a healthy mind.
And the shirt divers are my favourite. ;)

I think that Scoot running into my shirt means that he finds my sent as a
safe sent, which makes me feel special. I love it when he does it, dispite
all the scratches that result of it.
