I love looking on this site but don't understand why all these other MI5
postings can't be blocked before they arrive on the site.  It's a real
nuisance having to sift thro them even tho everyone very correctly ignores
them.

This isn't a (web) site, it's a Usenet group - see
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/what-is/part1/

The best you can do is filter such spam at your end. How depends on your
News Client Software &/or your Usenet access provider. I see you use
Outlook Express & Ntl. Try Googling

alt.pets.rodents.rats is not a website. It's a usenet newsgroup. And
more relevant to your complaint, it's an UNMODERATED newsgroup, meaning
that anybody can post anything they want and nobody's stopping them.

If you don't like it, then you can set up your email/newsreader program
to filter out messages you don't want to read. If Outlook Express can't
do that, then get something that can. I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird,
which, like Outlook Express, is free.

It's no use complaining about break-ins if you insist on leaving your
front door wide open.
