This year's Kate Greenaway Medal-winner dedicated her winning book to
the two pet rats who helped her create it, putting in sterling service
nibbling the edges of the pages on cue to produce that authentic
'mouse-eaten' look:

Yes, well most people who haven't been owned by a rat or dog wouldn't
understand. I am at a 4 and 3 count. Dogs and rats respectively.

Since we are talking numbers...I am owned by 6 cats and 5 rats, and if I let
the insanity take me, there would be more, LOL
