Before my mom's Charlie died, he had been to the vet's twice, the second
time with little hope. The vet's office called the day after Charlie died to
see how he was doing. My mom told them he had passed on. They offered their
condolences and that was it. Today, my mom received a beautiful card with
the vet writing: you did everything for Charlie, we are so sorry, signed the
vet's name and staff.
I thought that was just so nice of them...of course, this opened up the
flood gates of tears. The vet also sent along a pamphlet about grieving for
your pet.

It's good to have it confirmed there are still good vets out there.  What a
nice thing to have done; it's just a small gesture, but it meant so much to
your mum, and quite rightly so.

It's always hard for us to handle the loss of one of our closest ones.  My
love goes out to you, your mum and your family at this time.

What a wonderful gesture - vets like this are hard to find.

Pass on my condolences to your mom, I'm sure she's just like you are with
her little ones - giving them all the love, care and attention they could
possible wish for, so little Charlie will have had the best life a ratty
could ever hope for.  He will always live on in memory and will now be
happily playing with all our other departed friends at the beautiful Rainbow
Bridge
