Periodically I take a couple of Rats out to visit my parents. My Mum is a
Rat Convert having overcome her tremendous fear of their tails..:) Anyway I
took Phoenix and Africa... I chose Africa for his outgoing nature and
Phoenix because he is pretty cruisy when it comes to meeting people.
I couldn't believe it when Potty Africa climbed up my sleeve and refused
to be the centre of attention what so ever. He stayed there for most of the
visit until it was time to go then he decided to show himself... as for
Phoenix the wee sweetie sucked up to Mum and curled up in her lap looking
all boggle eyed....LOL. He allowed Mum to stroke him and feed him all the
home baking she wanted to give...LOL. Now the strange thing is that when
Phoenix is at home he won't sit still for two seconds, he is usually off to
play "trash ratty" with all the others and wouldn't dream of sitting on
anyone's knee for a fuss... and Africa is usually the first one to the door
to get a fuss etc... It amazes me how quickly they can change...LOL.
Next time two others will get a chance to go visiting...:)
Regards Kate.

Oooh, your rats are so lucky to meet their grandma!!
Phoenix must have felt so cozy with your mom... And perhaps Africa was too
overwhelmed.
That's like my gang in the young boys cage: Oliver is the big bully, but
once he comes out, he is a real chicken.
