Oh my god, you are torturing me here... need pics!!! What an adorable little
rattie. Does your hubby enjoy all this attention?
My hubby does not like my rats, or any rats. But I did get him to cuddle
with Benny a few days ago. I wanted to take my bath and my poor old Ben was
not ready to go back into his cage, so I forced my hubby to sit with him. To
his dismay, Benny crawled up to his neck and cuddled there for a while. My
hubby was so stiff...lol but it was cute! BTW... he still doesn't like rats,
but I do catch him petting Benny now.

One can never have enough rattie pics ;)

Nooo! Kill him! [only kidding ;)]

I have managed to get my nan to pet one of our ratties - she was really
petrified until she met one of our old ratties - annabelle - she never
scurried about, was always friendly, and would gladly just sit there and be
petted :grins:
It will take time but I am sure you can convert him :g: Hey *I* was
converted. Well, not strictly true - I had my reservations but just hadn't
been introduced to the adorable likkle critters :)
Moi? Hooked? Neveh!

8^) Yes, first the involutary holding. Then the covert petting shortly
followed by the secret treats. Next thing you know...he's hooked. Rats
are like gumbo "The first one is free" and then you're HOOKED!
Keith
p.s. I AM NOT HOOKED! I just hate seeing ratties at the petstore so I
"rescue them" when I have the space.

Yeah yeah, we have all heard THAT one before :grins: I know I have said
that a few times, except that it is "well the rescue centre called and
they have 2 boys that have been there for 3 months now and need a
home... must rescue.... must not leave... argh!" "Will go for a quick
visit just to see if there is *one* rat we can bring home....Oh bum, we
have come home with 4."
rofl :)
You know you love them really ;)

It is amazing that you have "Rescue Ratties"..? our Local SPCA never has
them... only the poor old Cats and Dogs... and I'm banned from their now....
( Finally got 3 dogs down to 2)..LOL....Wonder if they would trade Dogs for
Kids???? ... the possibilities.....(j/k)
Have a great day all

lol. Ours tends to have all sorts - last time I went they had:
Ferrets
Rabbits
Gerbils
Rats (not when we left ^_^)
Cats
Dogs
They sometimes get birds in, but it does depend. I wish they had none
of them in because hopefully that would mean they all had good homes
^_^

Hehehehe :) Hmm, the kids *are* expensive to keep and look after....
hmmm... ;) [not that I have any, but I can imagine :)]

My husband always said "they are your rats and your responsibility"...
at first he did not have much to do with them.. But I think he really
likes the ones I have now. He will never spend as much time with them
as I do, but sometimes I think "what's that noise" and then I find him
at the rat cage quietly talking to them and giving them treats...
Also I say to him probably every day: just look at them how sweet they
are! aren't they sweet? and I think he can only agree...
