Hello all
its been a while since i last posted on here, we now have 2 new ratties
unfortunatly they don't get on with the old dudes and we have them in a
tank, i want to build them a new cage and posted abouot this a while ago,
there were lots of replies about what wire you can and can't use for ratties
and was hoping you kind peoplewould post again.

Hi, you can use powder coated wires or pvc coated. As long as it's not
galvanized. A galvanized cage will stink up really fast with the rat's
urine. Also, it contains zinc which is not good if the rats are bar chewers.

Hello Barry,
If you go to my Webshots link below this post you will some pics of the "new
house" Hubby built for our boys.  It is square shaped mesh and a lot nicer
that chicken wire which has a dull coating on it which I believe is
poisonous to Rats...
