Well, she was all alone, and so small... My boyfriend just managed to stop
himself throwing a hissy fit in the middle of the garden centre when he saw
I had a carry-box in my hands. Cleo's won him over now, though. She's tiny,
and white, with eyes so deep ruby that most people would think they were
black, with blue flashes going up from each eye to behind each ear (hence
the name Cleo - she looks like she's gone overboard on the eye make-up!) and
a very pink tail. I'm convinced she shouldn't be away from her mum yet, but
when I saw her all alone and begging to come out and play I just couldn't
resist. Her sisters had all been snapped up, but her brothers hadn't been.
Good job she was there, or I'd have been tempted to get one of the boys, and
what with me having 7 girls already, that road can only lead to disaster.

She is gorgeous :-) Sadly, no pics as I don't have a digital camera or a
working scanner :-(
I never thought before now that a rat could actually have *blue* markings -
I always thought "blue" was just a bluish kinda grey!

Who can resist a small lonely rat? lol... good for you for not fighting that
urge. ;)
But imagine the fun of having a boy neutered and put in a colony of
females!!! All ears would be a flutter...lol

God, I can just imagine - even my old, poorly matriarch Stripe would
suddenly get a burst of energy :-)

She sounds gorgeous. It's a terrible feeling when you see them all alone in
their aquarium, all others having been bought. I always want to buy the one
that's left cos I feel so sorry for them. This is definitely when my GGMR
is hardest to control!
It would be great to see some pics!

It's impossible to resist the urge to take them home to meet some friends.
Sadly, I don't think I can do pics, but I will nag my boyfriend to see what
he can do :-)
