Hello, I just bought three Sun Aquatics 10K 175W Mh bulbs. They make my tank
look like a tank of pee! The tank is so yellow that it litterally looks like
urine! I put my old bulbs back, and the store does not want to take the new
ones back. They lost a good customer. Has anybody else had this problem with
these bulbs? Can anyone recomend a brand? I don't know what brand my old
ones are, but they are about three years old, so I thought I would change
them. But not with the crap that I just bought. Sun Aquatics suck, unless of
course you like a pee tank.

I can not speak from experience on these bulbs but many bulbs require a
"burn in" period.  Take my Blueline 10000k + for example.  When I first
turned them on, they were way too blue.  Looked more like a 20000k.  After
about 100 hours they whitened up very nicely and now I absolutely love them.

I use 10,000K Ushios, and they give my tank a yellowish look.  I do supplement
with two 110w Actinic VHO bulbs, and the color is perfect.
