Would someone in the DFW area run by Marc's place and see if he fell into
that big new tank?  he may have fallen in or be trapped inside it's sump.

LOL, I have noticed he hasnt been around here much myself.
There is a large thread on RC

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=406083

about his new tank that he replied to recently and in it, he indicated that
he is travelling to Boston for the MACNA (?) convention.

Hi guys,

I apologize, I've been pretty busy for the past few months.
One of the things that has taken up my time is the new
tank.  Add to that that I'm the new club president, MACNA
occured, answering (some) emails, keeping up with
ReefCentral and the DFWMAS message board, etc...

Plus I want to keep up my own website, build a few sumps for
people, make top-down photo boxes, ship a few RO/DI units...

It is nice to see that I'm missed. ;)

What's new here?

You're right.  I just didn't want to pop in and then skip a
bunch of posts.  I did notice there were about 900 new ones
since I was here last.  Oops.

Marc,

So good to see you're still around. I was beginning to think you found
another hobby ;)

On a more serious side, I am interested in talking to you about a high end
RO/DI unit. Here is some background on me (RODI wise)
http://www.maagsreef.com/flowrates.html

I have read your website on RODI. Here are the basic pieces I am thinking
about:

o 20" sediment cartridge
o 20" charcoal
o 4" X 21" RO membrane (Filtec TW30 4040) with Stainless housing
o 3 - 20" housings for using separate anion/cation (I have been told
separate resins are better than a mixed bed. Reason is time before
exhaustion.)

What do you think? Most of my learning has come from Spectrpure tech support
but I am interested in another opinion.
Marc Levenson - 29 Sep 2004 06:07 GMT
I don't have enough knowledge in this topic to give you much
feedback.  I did try your link but it timed out.

20" filters are fine, and many LFS use them due to the
volume of water they have to treat.  Odds are those larger
filters cost more than the common 10" variety.

I wish Marc will make up his mind. First he is a King and now Mr.President.
What next?

The people have spoken.  Who am I to turn them down? <grin>
