U.V. Question.

Hi Everyone,

I,ve got a 25w Vecton uv lying around and i,m just starting upa 130 gal reef
set up just for corals an inverts,
maybe just 1or 2 small fish just to create a bit of movement.

Opinions please on should i use this uv on my reef tank?

Some people say yes others no!!

Ahh..... no.....
Let me add to this addition - no - .....
No UV in the Tank / Refugium / Sump or in the water circulation or pumping
system.
Yes UV before [prior] entering the pumping work / filtering / water
circulation system.

But for those that thinking of getting UV, then NO.

What UV inline of a RO or RODI is to kill any bacteria or such before
entering anything from this water source.

UV question again?
If you insist on using the UV, YES you can use it with inline of a RO unit
prior entering your Sump or Tank etc... BUT not in your Sump / Refugium or
the main tank.

Now you see the Yes an No answer to your UV unit.
