Hi guys. How's it going? Can anyone point me to a web site that discusses
all the various chillers on the market? How about over-flow units? Top off
devices? Proper way to introduce a starfish to a system?

Thanks!!!

Let me chime in on my new chiller.  I have a 150 gallon reef in which
the flow-through chiller plumbing runs on the exterior of the house
and the chiller is located in the garage.   I insulated the PVC pipes,
but I thought MORE is better than not enough, so I got a 1/2 hp
Pacific Coast chiller.  It was hundreds less than other 1/2 hp real
aquarium chillers constructed with titanium.  In conclusion, could not
be happier, works like a charm.  I can now keep my cabinet doors
closed (used to keep them open to help cool), and removed a very
noisey fan in the hood.  Temp in the tank ranges from 78.3 to 79.4.  I
would NOT recommend this chiller if you are looking for a quiet one
however.

larger is not always better. short cycling a compressor leads to very quick
mortality.
