My HOB Bakpak skimmer has just started spitting very fine bubbles out what
I think is the large round output area. There doesn't seem to be any
adjustment on the skimmer. Anyone know why it's doing this, or what I can do
about it? Thanks

How old is the skimmer?  Is it doing it all of the time or just part of
the time.  Is the skimmer broke in on your tank, (if it has not been
running for atleast a week or 2 just give it more time) have you added
anything to the tank?

The skimmer is about 1 year old, and for the last few days is spitting
bubbles all of the time. (I gotta get a better one, anyway, to put in the
refugium). It's been running all of the time, but suddenly started it's new
"trick". Gonna replace the tubing on it & possible do a full disassemble &
clean. Still would like to know the "why" of the bubbles.....Steve

Since it is "broken in" I would suggest a good cleaning, there could be
something built up on it that is allowing the bubbles to make it through
the traps a little easier now. Other than that I don't know is it
producing more bubbles now or some how the airline is plugged a little
producing more current, which could cause more bubbles to flow through
the  skimmer.
