Where abouts in the world do you live Paul?
There really are a lot of fish that can handle different amounts of time in
salt/fresh water.
Your best bet is to go fishing in the tidal area of a river and see what you
catch.
Check the laws and size regs, and bring a battery powered air pump to
transport.
Stuff like Scats, target fish, mono, bream, flathead, gars can all be kept
with a small amount of salt or full salt.
I use enuf to be able to use skimmers.
I like skimmers

The green spotted leopard and the figure eight puffers can be adapted
to full salt water without a problem. I have one that is over a year
in 1.026 SG water....a nice big fat green spotted leopard
puffer........I take em up from FW and 0 salt content by .02
increments daily until I hit what I want for my SG target (1.026) Fish
looks totally different in SW than it ever did n FW and does much
better overall....
