Does anyone know if Oregon or  Baja Mexico have restrictions on
leopard sharks like CA does? I'm referring to the min. size limit of
three feet. I can't find anyone who can get them anymore legally and I
was throwing around the idea of going out there to get one in another
state if it was legal. I know of a store that can get them but he said
it was illegal now (already knew of CA law) so all he would do was put
me in touch with a supplier for a hefty fee that trades them despite
the law.

If the size min. is three feet I'd think you could still take a gravid
female in March and gut it to take the pups unless the law covers
that. I know for a fact though that you can in CA legally buy a
leopard shark for aquarium display if it is over three feet in
length.

And, that, I suppose, is the reason for the law.  Please keep in mind
that shark populations are dwindling fast.
