These guys will chase anything !

This morning I've been watching a tiny Platy male,
chase a Silver Shark 5 times it's size all over the
tank, with amorous intentions :- )

Well I assume it was love, with these plucky
little guys he might have been after a snack !

Close enough. I guess that they have the idea that if they are not
acting super horny with every possible mate, then it won't be their
DNA in the offspring.

After all live bearing fish often means many brother fish to compete
with.

Sounds to me like he has no female friend and so has to put up with
illegal fishy porn. :-]

>Well I assume it was love,

Fish know of no such thing. As it is all food, sex and not to get
eaten. When you will never see the big fish move aside to let the poor
little fish have some food.

Then lets not mention fish incest. When most aquarium breeding
involves brothers and sisters, fathers and daughters, or in the case
of my White Mollies mothers and sons.

Possible, when my Golden Tiger Barb see my Scissor Tail fish as food,
even though they are about four times his length.
