I am looking for a hand held ph meter for an old gent.
He only has the use of one hand after a stroke.
He does not want litmus papers or similar but wants an electric or battery
version.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please.
Have tried google searches with no luck.

Many thanks,

Mike

The bigest ptoblem with handheld (and other electronic Ph meters) are that
they need to be calibrated frequently at least once every three months and
if the probe dries out, it's a new one...

But if you know how to calibrate them and how to treat them (some of the
probes are very fragile) they are great, I can't remember what the one I
used last was, but the owner was very diligent with calibration and did his
best to make sure that the probe never deied out and he was well pleased...

The easiest i to buy some test strips, as long as you keep them in the
airtight container they will las for a long time and are dead easy to use...

Hanna Instruments has a selection of hand held meters. I use one and it
works very well. http://www.hannainstruments.com/
