Moving tomorrow, only a short way tough.

My plan is to switch all off, drain half the water into a big bucket
(normally used during water changes), removing the plants etc and then
catching and moving fish into this temp tank. Tape a bin bag over the top
and drain the rest of the water from the tank and remove the gravel.

Do the move, clean up the glass, gravel and rocks.

I haven't really thought about how to reintroduce the fish, but am wondering
if this is why people use plastic bags instead.

The fish are fairly hardy, the power went off for 16 hours the other day,
and they were fine.

Oh, it's only a 60litre tank, so not a huge hassle to move fortunately!

Any advice appreciated.

I stuck my fish in a cool box the type you use on a picnic don't clean it up
to much as this will only destroy more good bacteria or  if you do wash
things out don't use tap water use the left over water from the tank
