I've some coming up to 5 years old and they're about 6 inches long and
quite thick in the body now. I've heard they can get up to seven inches.

Silver sharks or silver tip sharks?
The former can grow to around 15" in an aquarium, the latter nearer two foot
& prefers brackish conditions as it grows.
