I have an 8 / 9 years old female tiger cat that I took in when she was about 4 years old
and pregnant. After she had the babies I had her spayed and she has been an indoor only
cat. (I found homes for the 4 babies).
Thing is that ever since I have had her she will at times grab my hand in her mouth
occassionally. She does not bite but just puts her mouth on my hand, sometimes so light
that I can barely feel it. At first she used to run from me after doing it but now she
will do it then just lay there and let me keep petting her.
Any ideas as to what she means by this if anything??

Sounds like a security thing to me. She must love you a lot.

My cats do this when they want attention. Squeekers will start by rubbing
your hand with the side of his mouth and if you ignore him and don't stop
what you are doing and pet him for a while he will eventually give you a
little love bite. It's nothing hard it's just a quick hey I'm here and I
want attention.
