Has anyone operated on prairie dog, and if so, what anesthetic protocols
did you use?

We generally mask down with Isoflurane and maintain them on it.  Then torb
(pain killer) and baytril (antibiotic) injections when they are waking up.
Everyone that we have done has been fine post surgery.  They tend to be a
little oozier though than cats and dogs.  We've found that we've had to
bandage the incision a lot for them.
