Greetings everyone;
I was hoping that i might be able to get some information from anyone
out there who's a vet, or a vet tech, or even a well-read cat-lover
with the answers...
Obviously, if something is serious, there is no substitute for taking
one's animal to the Vet, and the information I am asking for is for my
own benefit, not to be a replacement for the much-needed visit to the
vet. That being said...
1.) Are there any good online resources for pathology and diagnosis of
feline illness? I read somewhere that there was an expert-system or
diagnosis tool out there somewhere that might be handy, but anything
with extensive information thats well-organized would be nice.
2.) When one goes to school to specialize in veterinary medicine, what
textbooks that were used are of specific benefit to learning in-depth
the feline physiology and pathology? Keep in mind that I am asking for
the in-depth stuff here, I just wanted to make sure that I find the
right stuff.
I originally asked this on rec.pets.cats and was referred here, I
really would appreciate any help any of you could throw at me.

This site may help you get some idea of what may be going on before
you see your vet.

Hmmm.....how 'bout any decent anatomy text, Thrall's Diagnostic Radiology,
Duncan and Prasse's Clinical Pathology, Ettinger's Veterinary Internal
Medicine, Fossum's Small Animal Surgery, Holtzworth's Diseases of the Cat,
etc....
