Not very, unless it's repeatable at multiple examinations. i.e. if it's
there for first shots, second shots, third shots....well I might wonder a
bit, and recommend rechecking every few months. But I personally wouldn't
go getting horribly excited/worried. Not with a very mild murmur. You can
see murmurs secondary to mild anemia, which is common in young puppies. But
those murmurs will go away. So I usually just wait and see what happens.
Significant heart defects usually show with other signs, and usually show
with more significant murmurs (although not always).

Hi
Thanks Dr. Deb. I have only ever had a grade 1 murmur and with the rise of
TVD in our breed....just a nervous nelly I guess. He is a stout puppy,
actually a show quality male going into a pet home. Good activity, weight,
etc. I appreciate your thoughts(as I know you can't hear the murmur
yourself) but vet who did shots and examine didn't seem too upset.
Happy Easter Weekend.
Cheers
