Today I was given an order to open up a guinea pig, because the
diagnosis of ileus. As a young doctor, I sometimes have to do what I am told,
without asking too many questions :-).I was only given an information that
gp didn't eat and didn't defecate for three days. Anyway, I opened up a
guinea pig (I have never done that before), checked everything and found
nothing.
My question is: what is your experience with ileus in guiena pig,
especially if we rule out mechanical causes?

What do the teeth look like? Both incisions and molars? That's what we
find to be the number one reason why GP's stop eating. Are they
supplementing with Vitamin C?
