I am a vet but am not able to do telediagnosis. There could be many
reasons, including certain bacterial, viral and parasitic infections, and
heritable conditions. Take the foal's temperature
(Koerperinnentemperatur/rektal gem.) . Get a horse veterinarian.to check the
foal.
Get the vet today. 2 days of this could be life threatening.
While horses have a Ductus choledochus, they do not have a gall bladder,
and they are monogastric herbivores dependent on a very specific bacterial
caecum flora which aids in digestion. Any dysbacteric event can throw
digestion off, plus of course the possibilities of liver disease u.a..
So get your vet, please.
