and i had to rush her to an emergency animal hospital an hour away because
no one else was open. and they kept her over night and she came home
today. but they never figured out what was wrong with her. so now i am
worried because i have no idea what happened and i dont want it to happen
again.i need some professional advice. p.s. is it not terrible that no
clinics within an hours drive are open on a saturday night? what if its a
serious sitch? they should rethink their schedule.

........you've got an emergency clinic available.  That's more than some
people have.  Vets and their staff need to sleep, eat and have a life too.
No, it's not terrible.

You really do need professional advice, and I would suggest that you take
your cat to see a veterinary neurologist as soon as you possibly can.  My
cat h0p suffered from seizures for the last 4 years of his life.  They
were managed by phenobarbital for the first two years, but this eventually
left him in a very depressed and inactive state.  The last two years the
seizures were managed by neurontin (gabapentin) and he did well.  It
turned out that the original seizure was due to toxoplasmosis (he was a
feral) and though he was cured of that, "seizures beget seizures."  Good
luck to you both, I'll be watching with interest.
