Hi,

Our Spring Spaniel, 10 yrs, started getting sick 5 days ago and can't
keep anything down.  For the past 2 days she has been at the vet on an
IV with a H2 blocker and Reglan - no food orally.  She continues to get
sick and it is bright green.  An xray showed nothing.  Today they are
going to do a Barium study to look for any internal bleeding.

Is anyone familiar with this symptom or could suggest further tests to
determine her condition?  Overall she is holding up quite well, but we
can't determine the cause.

We've pretty much ruled out that it was something she ate since it
would no longer be in her system.

Many thanks,
Brian

The only thing I remember about bright green vomit was Decon (rat poison).
Is that a possibility where you live?

I once worked with a vet that believed that green puke = foreign body.
Maybe the barium will show something.

Thanks for the reponses.  The barium showed a foreign body... corn cob.
After a successful surgery she is feeling much better.  We were really
concerned there for awhile.

Thanks,
BK
