My cats are suffering from mange and I cannot find a bottle of lymdip, 16oz
or Gallon, anywhere online. Everyone says they are on backorder until April
and some are now claiming May. Some sites have even removed any reference
to Lymdip on their sites. Google still remembers they used to sell it but
they web storefronts don't. Most requests for information from sellers just
come back its on backorder. Have sent an email to the manufacturer but
haven't seen a reply yet. From what I have seen there is only one company
that makes this stuff.
Anyone have any knowledge of where someone could buy lymdip? Or perhaps a
suitable substitute?
Thanks!

What has your vet said?

Here is one site that looks like they do have Lymdip in stock:

A 23% solution of lime sulfur solution is available at garden stores,
but you need to dilute it so it matches the strength of Lymdip to make
it safe for use in cats. You can find instructions about using it in a
shampoo solution here:

Thank you very much for the information and websites. My old eyes were
wearing out looking at websites.

You're welcome. I have a little more helpful nfo for you. I was talking
to my vet for quite some time today and we got on the subject of
ringworm and Lymdip. I mentioned your post about mange and he said that
both Frontline and Revolution can be used to get rid of mange as well
as for flea control. It should be used once a month just as you would
if you were treating for fleas.

Revolution works great for mange, but as far as I know Frontline does
absolutely nothing for it! I've had plenty of animals with sarcoptic mange
(I assume that's what we are talking about) who were on Frontline. I don't
know where your vet is getting that info, but if there's actually data about
using frontline in this way, please get specifics!

.........weird, wonder what the manufacturers have to say about it? It's
spelled LymDyp, made by DVM Pharmaceuticals, Miami, FL.
